The small group format, practical strategies, and broad variety of content covered in the play therapy courses were excellent. I appreciated having virtual options for the activities and techniques we discussed. The thoughtful addition of stories at the end of each session added depth. Breaks and lunch were well-timed, and the slides were clear and concise. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
The opportunity to connect with other like-minded child therapists during the play therapy trainings was fantastic. I also appreciated the inviting atmosphere and Johanna's authenticity, as well as her responsiveness to questions. The supervision groups were very helpful for integrating the material and discussing our experiences, and I valued the logistics-related portions.
I really appreciated the breadth of the course. By the end, I felt reassured that I’m on track in my practice and had a clearer understanding of the wider landscape of play therapy, including the different theories and approaches. I especially valued Johanna’s authenticity and openness; she was genuine, disarming, and created a space where I felt comfortable asking questions and engaging in meaningful dialogue. That relational tone made the learning accessible.
The integration of theory with practical understanding was most useful. Learning about the range of play therapy approaches helped me situate my work within the broader field and feel more confident in my direction.
Johanna's knowledge, her way of sharing and teaching, as well as her overall demeanor and teaching style, were greatly appreciated. The information taught was extremely helpful and exactly what I was looking for to enhance my skills. I'm sad that it is ending and will absolutely sign up again if there is an additional course.
